Suffice it to say: I won’t be pursuing this project anytime soon.

But if I ever pull in enough money – say when I win the lottery – and I need to satisfy my alter LEGO ego, I might be tempted to contact brick master, artist and creative guy Nathan Sawaya.

If you have the cash and want to pursue this type of project – which is perfectly fine given the freedom the United States offers - you can order yourself through Neiman Marcus at least as of last year.

Each figure, though, costs $60,000. Shipping yourself to your house, though, will cost extra.

You’ll need to send in your measurements. So, be honest: You’re investing in yourself.

It’s unclear whether Neiman Marcus still offers the chance to have yourself decked out in plastic bricks.

But I’m sure if this is what you want, the market will find you.

I came across Sawaya’s work just before I posted this entry about construction and design in Seattle. I recalled seeing the work of a LEGO artist months ago and did a quick online search of the words.

For now, this project is on my “to do” list.

But here’s what I’d like to have Sawaya build when the time comes:

  • Each member of my family
  • (All of us would be enjoying 100 different types of tofu)
  • Genghis Khan riding a horse across the grasslands
  • A basic timeline of a black hole
  • The cast of Monty Python
  • Oakland Raider Dave Casper falling on a football
  • (The ball was kicked forward, bobbled or something)
  • (He scores by landing on it in the end zone)
  • (Raiders win, making for a classic Al Davis victory)
  • (It was the 1970s)

Of course, I’m joking with these ideas.

Sawaya is certainly talented. And since I have ties to the Seattle area, I like the fact that he was born in Colville, Wash.

But I’d be satisfied with just a LEGO replica of myself.

I’d put myself in the best spot in the house.

I’d face myself and talk about how I need to post more blog entries about tofu.

By the way, fans of LEGOs and Raiders of the Lost Ark might like this animation.

Except for the suit, that doesn’t even look like him!
