I had a nice chat with my friend, Hector, this morning in Tacoma, Wash.

While I was in the area, I saw some appealing visuals.

As a kid, I played with LEGOs. So, I know it’s easy to build some things.

By the way, in early October, a gathering of LEGO enthusiasts will meet for BrickCon at the Seattle Center.

Others structures, such as some pictured and one that is not, ought to be left to others to build.

Here’s a quick rundown of the images:

  • A. Museum of Glass.
  • B. A bunch of tubes. I’ve always liked repetition found in design and ordinary objects. Plus, these tubes remind me, in a way, of these Tubes, who continue to play music.
  • C. Lines from a bridge. I asked a guy standing under it if he knew the name. He didn’t. But he referred me to the more famous one, the Tacoma Narrows Bridge.
  • D. Giant cargo cranes at the Port of Tacoma.
  • E. A mystery truck. It was making its way on a Seattle-area highway (traffic was slow when I snapped the image). My guess: Returning from Burning Man, where truck art has appeared.
