More ideas to stimulate the brain? Yes. This time, electric- and solar-powered cars

I’m juggling a few things, but these video reports from Reuters’ Dan Sloan caught my eye.

Not only do they focus on the future and incorporate different designs, but they take into account innovative ways to power automobiles.

Those ways include using solar energy and electricity.

In fact, Nissan estimates that one out of every 10 vehicles will be electric by 2020, Sloan notes in his report.

By thinking in new ways, there is that hope to expand the way in which we live. Hopefully, that expansion will be better than how we’ve lived.

After the jump, there’s another video report from Sloan. This one features vehicles that Honda and Toyota plan to unveil at this month’s Tokyo Motor Show

The global recession is keeping some automobile manufacturers from attending the show. So, it’s good that Japan’s big auto companies will have cars to show the world.

If you’re interested in design and technology, take a look at Honda’s all-direction Personal Mobility Device - the post has links to Toyota’s i-Real vehicle – and futuristic cars shown at the motor show two years ago.

Enjoy the videos.
