Lighter moments always help in daily life

There are times in life when I’m trying to keep track of various ideas, goals and tasks to complete.
My wife and son, though, might be reading or playing. I hear them and wander out of our office. I discover new things.
It’s actually rewarding that I left the computer to see what they were doing. Today was a prime example of this.

The two often read a Chinese language book that my sister-in-law gave our son.
In it, there are steps on how to make an aircraft of sorts – by using two circles with straight paper in between them.
You know what?
The aircraft actually flies.
My wife hurled it in the house. So did my son.
Later, they went outside to try it in the yard.
The instructions are from this book below.

Flight has always fascinated me – even if the aircraft was powered by an engine, a blast of air or humans.
So, I’m glad the two of them pursued this activity.
Yes, simple can be just as rewarding as the complex.
What other activities have my son and wife pursued while I was working in our office?
Well, homemade Chinese-style steamed buns certainly surprised me – and filled my belly, too.
You might be wondering why I put a photograph of the green fuzzy head in this blog post.
Well, my son created it in his class recently.
The goal, I think, was to teach the kids that at a certain point getting a haircut is needed.
So, my wife and son gave the fuzzy-head friend a clip.
For some reason, he thinks the fuzzy-head friend looks like me.
