Taiwanese woman invents award-winning chair, Chinese network compares it to tofu

When you run a blog with the goal of observing tofu, it’s best that you stay true to your word.

In this light, and as others have done online, I introduce a tofu-like, award-winning chair from Taiwanese designer Yu-Ying Wu.

On her blog, she says she’s received a coveted Red Dot award for her foam creation which has triangular openings.

The Chinese television network, CCTV, is comparing it to tofu, the vegetarian food that was invented by accident around 164 BC in Anhui province.
