Yes, I’ve been remiss in keeping TofuWatch.com up to date with good stuff and noteworthy posts.
So, here then, is a photo of a street lamp in my neighborhood – complete with snow falling in front of the light and icicles hanging before the eye.
If you live outside the Seattle area and haven’t seen the weather, it snowed on Monday in this slice of the Pacific Northwest. Two words: Stay warm.

There are times in life when I’m trying to keep track of various ideas, goals and tasks to complete.
My wife and son, though, might be reading or playing. I hear them and wander out of our office. I discover new things.
It’s actually rewarding that I left the computer to see what they were doing. Today was a prime example of this.

I got caught up with errands during the past few days. So, that’s what kept me away from the keyboard.
But I’m easing my way back into the blogging world.
The good news: My family and I on Saturday made our way out to a pumpkin patch south of Seattle. We picked a nice, round orange one – and we also bought a huge head of cabbage for $1.
Nothing beats visiting a farm, especially with a kid.
During the summer, my cousin, Alex, visited us and brought this great tubular maze that her kids played with when they were younger.

I’ve often said that some of the most beautiful things in life can be simple.
You know: Gardening, chasing after a ball, watching airplanes land and take off or pushing two basic bicycle-like toys on the ground.
As you might know, my son and wife arrived home safely from China recently after spending a wonderful time with my wife’s family.
I am thrilled that they are back in the Seattle area.
So, the other day, my son and I broke out the Bygga construction set, which we bought at IKEA.
It has basic shapes, plus wheels. So, you can make a motorcycle, dump truck, airplane and helicopter.
